It is the International Day of Older Persons 2024: Where are we in regard of strengthening the rights of older people?

The recognition of the need to protect older persons' human rights has been painfully slow, even in the light of evidence of the harmful effects of ageism and the widespread experiences of abuse and neglect and other rights violations by older people around the world.
